  • UNFF10 was the 10th session of the United Nations Forum on Forest held in Istanbul, Turkey, in April 2013. The discussion was prepared by the Major Groups of UNFF. The International Family Forestry Alliance, IFFA, Global Alliance of Community Forestry, GACF, and the International Alliance of Indigenous and Tribal Peoples of the Tropical Forest, IAITPTF, participated in the preparations.

Recognition of tenure and ownership rights, education and capacity building, free market access and the support of rights holders organisations, was among the most important conditions that the paper pointed at in order to achieve sustainable forest management.
