Two quotes from Paris

Forest, people and rights are in the center of the climate talks in Paris, reports the IFFA vice chair Lennart Ackzell.

    Prince Charles in Paris

    During the first day sessions of the UNFCCC climate summit, Lennart extracted the following two quotes from Prince Charles, UK:

    “The meeting is aimed at promoting forest partnerships in which people gain legal rights to their land and then share commercial activities.”

    “The forests are essential for the climate - but forest solutions are typically complex and local, and they do not lend themselves easily to sweeping global agreements.”
